Fieldwork Skills Reflective Comment
The first time I heard about fieldwork skill course was when I still in my country, Indonesia. I was exploring about syllabus of YSEP student. There were a lab research and 3 compulsory subjects which we must attend. One of them is fieldwork skills. I had no idea what the course would be, for another course like study on Japanese companies and industries, I could imagine that I will visit some Japanese factories or industries. I thought that that class would be boring, but I was wrong. I learn a lot of things in this courses. The teacher, Tom Hope, explained very well about the objective of this course. He also speak clearly and have 2-way communication with students. I also fascinated with the environment of the class which allow student to discuss freely especially about culture in Japan. Since we come from many different country, I can comprehend a lot of distinct perspectives and opinions. I also learn about how to observe something correctly, how to interview someone effectively and how to analyze them. Thank you very much for the lesson.
